The Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF), Shamseldeen B. Ogunjimi, on Monday 13th October, 2025, was received by Senator Osita Izunaso, OFR, representing Imo West Senatorial District, in a courtesy visit where both leaders engaged in a robust discussion on key governance and fiscal matters, particularly the funding framework of the 2025 national budget and strategies for ensuring that Imo West and Imo State benefit more substantially from the present administration’s development agenda.
During the meeting, Senator Izunaso commended the Accountant-General for his professionalism and diligence in fiscal accountability, describing him as “one of the experienced hands working assiduously to ensure maximum success of this administration.”
The senator reiterated his devotion to effective representation and the pursuit of policies and partnerships that would translate into tangible benefits for his constituents. He assured the people of Imo West that he remains “on top of the game”; actively engaging relevant government agencies to attract more developmental projects and enhance socio-economic inclusion in the region.
